Richard (Dick) John Krause (83) of Salem, WI (but lived most of his life in Wauwatosa, WI) died peacefully on July 18th, 2024 after a short battle with Cancer.
Dick was born in Milwaukee, WI to Eunice and Clarence Krause. He attended Wauwatosa East High School and spent 34 years serving the residents of Wauwatosa in varying capacities for the City. He spent most of his Summers at their lake cottage in Elcho, WI and, later in life, spent their Winters in Holiday FL.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife Mary Krause (Linehan) of 45 years and his brother Thomas (Harriet) Krause. He is survived by his three sons Michael (Donna) Krause (Grant), Jeff (Chris) Grant and Michael (Jennifer) Zimmer as well as his five grandchildren Ashley (Rob) White (Grant), Katelynn Grant, Hannah Grant, Paige (Mark) Molinaro (Benton), Emily Zimmer and his Great Grandson Benton Molinaro. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews of the Krause clan.
Dick was larger than life and loved striking up conversations with anyone he could. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand, almost never saying no to a request. His voice was as large as his personality, dominating every room and very often you could hear him across Enterprise Lake!
The family had a celebration of life so there will be no funeral services. The family asks that you have your favorite beer or cocktail and think of how he impacted your life. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI, is honored to serve the Krause family. Online condolences can be made at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com
