Yvonne Mary Jeske (Kegel), age 85, of Kenosha, passed away on August 17th, 2024, at her residence. She was born on March 13th, 1939, in Appleton, WI, to the late Harvey Kegel and Matilda (Ziemer) Kegel. After graduating from Fox Valley High School in 1958, she attended Dr. Martin Luther College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1961. On July 21st, 1963, she married Kenneth Jeske in Appleton.
Yvonne was a natural born teacher, teaching for several different schools across the state and various grades. She was a staple of her family, helping raise all her grandchildren and teaching them along the way. She had an incredible green thumb and loved spending time in the garden. Yvonne was also an avid reader and was known by her family for her intelligence and being great with her words. Her family will always remember the wonderful meals she prepared for them their whole lives and will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Jeske, children: Laurie (David) Silfies, Christopher (Jennifer) Jeske, Michael (Soni) Jeske, Philip (Cynthia) Jeske, Jennifer (Joshua Decker) Jeske, Annalese Jeske, Benjamin (Renee Pappalardo) Jeske, and Elizabeth Kuefler, grandchildren: Ethan, Wyatt, Derek, Maya, Matthew, Xavier, Oliver, Luke, Hannah, Oscar, Genevieve, Yvette, Scarlett, and Haley, a great grandchild: Gaborik, and many other friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to recognize all the friends and family who reached out and showed their love and support during this difficult time, in Christ’s name we thank you. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s in Yvonne’s name are appreciated.
A visitation for Yvonne will be held at New Life Lutheran Church (5927 37th Ave) on Friday August 23rd from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. A visitation will continue at church the next day on Saturday August 24th, from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. with a service at 11 A.M. A luncheon will be immediately following the service.
