Beverly Jean Vogt, 86 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
She was born April 27, 1938, in Dutch Hollow, WI the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Malcook) Schwartz. On April 28, 1962, she married Robert Vogt in Orfordville, WI.
Bev worked as a CNA for over 30 years at the former Kenosha Memorial Hospital, Kenosha, WI before retiring in 1995. In her younger years Bev enjoyed paint-by-number projects; she also loved cooking and baking for her family. Bev was a talented crafter, whether working with flowers, painting, macramé or decorating for each holiday and season, she loved displaying her creations. Together, Bev and Bob enjoyed traveling, most often in their RV, but Bev especially enjoyed time up north with her family, where she could watch the many varieties of birds. Bev’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were incredibly special to her; she could often be seen attending games and recitals alike, showing her loving support.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bob; daughters, Debbie (Bill) Lehman, Becky (Bill) Samuelson, and Michelle (Jim) Anderson, all of Kenosha, WI; brothers, Roger (Kam) Schwartz and Denny (Ann) Schwartz; grandchildren, Jason Lehman, Nikki Lehman, Sloan (Maria Paynes) McGibany, Kevin Arriaga, Amanda (Branden) Mota, Cody McGibany and Miranda Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kailey Lehman, Sophia Macemon, Dylan Lehman, Christopher Lehman, Silas Macemon, Nathanael Lehman, Merriyah Paynes, Zayden McGibany, Emerich Mota and Jude Mota.
In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon McGibany, and sister, Marlene (Ronnie) Duncan.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home, with services commencing at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
