Linda Cayanus, 82, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024, at Grande Prairie Health & Rehab surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born on August 26, 1942, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Reuben & Elaine (Hobbs) Neargarth. She graduated from Kingsford High School in Kingsford, MI and attended Minnesota Bible College. Linda married Peter Cayanus on March 21, 1981, in a small ceremony held at the home of her parents in Iron Mountain, MI. She worked for various companies over the years including Teleprompter, The Drug Store, Delta-Do-It and Aurora Casting Services when she finally retired at the age of 72 . She was a faithful member of Harbor Rock Tabernacle of Racine. Her hobbies included wood crafting, cooking & baking, home decorating, shopping, but most of all spending time with her family & friends.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Bob) Conrad of Paddock Lake, WI; Phil (Lori) Crary of Meredosia, IL; Sonya Rivera of Louisiana; brother, Lawrence (Patricia) Neargarth of Spread Eagle, WI; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, and daughter Julie Koller.
A celebration of life will be held on November 9, 2024, at Balsam Street Christian Church, 324 Balsam St Kingsford, MI 49802. Visitation will start at 10:00 with a service to follow at 12:00.
