Friends and loved ones grieve the passing of David Arthur Metcalf, who left this world on November 11, 2024.
David was born in Wauwatosa, WI and raised in Racine, WI, by Marian and Wallace Metcalf. He was raised with a sister, whose life was cut short due to domestic violence many years ago.
He graduated from Washington Park High school in Racine, WI in 1967.
David served in the United Stated Army and retired honorably as a United States Marine, serving at Camp Pendleton and in Okinawa, Japan.
David worked for over 20 years at Three Tool and Die machine shop and other CNC shops in Racine, WI.
David loved going to the free concerts downtown Racine and engaging with others. He enjoyed movie nights, a good burger and beer from DeMark’s in Racine and the company of his housemates and loving staff. Many days he enjoyed sitting outside, listening to and watching the birds and chatting. His dry sense of humor always made you look to see if he was serious or kidding.
David will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 10:00am with full military honors.
