Marcey Gocel, age 98 a resident of Kenosha, formerly of West Allis WI died Saturday November 16th 2024 at Robin Way Assisted Living in Kenosha.
Born on December 28th 1925 in Ashland WI, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ella (Pezacki) Gocel.
She worked for many years at Briggs and Stratton.
She loved traveling and on one trip caught a swordfish in Mexico. She also was proud of the fact that she went parasailing at age 78 while on a “Woman’s Cruise” with 18 family and friends. She loved baseball and football and often times would wager on games. She was a volunteer that would deliver free food aid to neighborhood kids every Wednesday. Marcey lived a life of helping anyone who needed it no matter what the need was. She especially enjoyed her “Korbel Old Fashioned Sweet with Olives” at family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved brother Jake “Jay”.
She is survived by her cousins Edna Shodis of Kenosha and her family and Betty Baron of Ashland, Wi and her family.
Private Services will be held in Ashland, WI at a later date.
