On Wednesday September 25th, 2024 the world lost an amazing soul when Julie Ann Tetzlaff, 54, lost her battle to cancer and passed through the gates of heaven, surrounded by the love of her sister and brother.
Julie loved to look after people, no matter if you were her friend, family or a complete stranger. Her passion for caregiving was like no other and she touched the hearts of every person she came across. For many years she worked as a nanny, in-home caregiver, and eventually landed as a caregiver at Kenosha Place for the last three years where she impacted both the lives of those she cared for and the friends she made while working there. Having a big heart and a bit of rebellious spirit, she would often sneak in treats to her favorite residents, knowing that even something as small as a candy bar might brighten their day.
Julie was the life of the party. A spit fire. A fun loving, carefree, hilarious woman who kept her circle small, but would do just about anything for anyone she loved. While she didn’t have any children of her own, her four legged fur babies meant everything to her as did her family. Her relationship with her dad, brother and sister were unmatched and something to be cherished.
Julie is survived by her brother, Tom Tetzlaff, sister, Cathy (Jim) Larsen, nieces & nephews Samantha Tetzlaff, Jake (Lauren) Larsen, Stephanie (Mitchell) Miner, Allie (Mike) Neary, great nieces & nephews Harper Miner, Declan & Alannah Larsen, Baby Neary (coming December 2024), close friend Mari Anne Kane, and many other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Tetzlaff.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
