James “Jim” Noel Davis Sr., age 72, of Kenosha, passed away on November 26th, 2024, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI. He was born on December 23rd, 1951, in Chicago, IL, to the late Stanley Davis and Gertrude (Schlueter) Davis. Jim was a graduate of John Hersey High School class of 1970. Jim’s love of travel started with Jeep trips out west with school friends. On July 16 th , 1977, he married Lynnette Fredrich at St. Emily Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect, IL and stayed faithfully married to her until his death. Jim and Lynn loved to travel together on many trips, both short and long.
They loved the traveling experience by train, plane, boats, and by car. Jim retired from Hi-Line Electric Company, where he was a successful salesman for more than 30-years, he was a member of the Kenosha Sportfishing & Conservation Association, the River Bend Carvers, and participated in father-child youth groups at the Schaumburg YMCA with his children. He also enjoyed being a volunteer driver for KAFASI and loved art classes at the senior center in his free time.
He is survived by his loving wife Lynn Davis, children: James Noel Davis Jr. (Jessica Crujeiras) of Chicago, IL, and Jaime Noel Davis of North Kansas City, MO, and siblings: Ron Davis (Gayle) of Sun City West, AZ, and Nancy Davis Engelman (Richard) of Tarpon Springs, FL, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Lee Davis.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the visitors who came from both near and far who visited Jim on his final days during his valiant battle with cancer. They will never forget all the prayers, cards and calls that were sent.
A visitation for James will take place on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Kemper Center Ambrose Hall (6501 3 rd Ave) at 3 P.M. A memorial service will take place immediately following the visitation at Ambrose Hall at 4 P.M.
