Alan joined the Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department in 1976 and served as Fire Chief from January 1990 through December 2010. His most memorable fire call was the tornado of January 7, 2008. Alan was a beloved member of the community and was a friend to all. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Alan loved supporting the youth of the community at the Kenosha, Racine and Walworth County Fairs, along with the fair pie auctions. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, the Indianapolis 500 and Andy Griffith reruns.
Alan is survived by his wife Marilyn and his brother Wayne (Mary) Kaddatz. He is uncle to Dean Kaddatz, Grant (Jamie) Kaddatz, Sarah Kaddatz (Jon Kvitky), Jeremie (Morgan) Siegler, Dakota (Jenna) Siegler and Savannah Siegler; great uncle to Cash, Ryder and Harvest Siegler; and brother-in-law to Mark Raduenz (Ruth Epping) and Marleen (Jerry) Siegler.
