Sandra K. Eternicka, 76 years old of Sturtevant, formerly Kenosha, WI passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
She was born June 13, 1948, in Washington, D.C. the daughter of the late Robert and Georgiana (Farchmin) Long. On January 31, 1972, she married Joseph Eternicka, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Sandra worked for Ocean Spray, Kenosha, WI for many years and ended her career working in the warehouse for SuperValu Grocery Stores.
Sandra enjoyed crafting; she was a talented knitter, crocheter and embroiderer. She was an avid reader and kept her mind sharp with word games, sudoku, and solitaire. Sandra especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed camping.
Survivors include her son, Daniel (Jenna) Eternicka; two grandchildren, Brynleigh and Colton; brothers, Rick (Rhondda) Long and Randy Long; nieces Chloe and Kristen (Alan); a nephew, Douglas (Jesse); and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, David Long.
Sandra’s family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Alliance and Senior Helpers, especially Christina and Michelle.
Visitation for Sandra will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home with a funeral service commencing at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place privately in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Wisconsin Humane Society, Kenosha Campus, in her memory.
