Ann “Nenette” Elkouby Hindes, 1939-2024
Passed away peacefully on December 7th at Condell Medical Center.
Born on August 3, 1939 to Mazel & Mayer Elkouby in Casablanca, Morocco.
Ann met her husband (deceased 1987 – James Hindes) while he was in the Air Force and stationed in Casablanca. Moved to the United States in 1959.
Ann’s greatest joy was her family and her Jewish faith. She loved to laugh, travel, cook, shop and play bingo.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hindes (Christy), Linda Kopera and Deborah Perlini (Phillip). She was a loving grandmother to her 8 grandchildren, Allison (Todd), Kayla, Michael, Steven (Jamie), Drew, Austin, Sydney and Madeline, as well as her 2 great-grandchildren, Elliott and Charley. Ann is also survived by her sister Dodie Elkouby Clemmons (Bill) of Lexington, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Services and burial were held by Chabad of Kenosha on December 9th at B’Nai Zedek Cemetery according to Jewish Law. In honor of Ann’s memory, donations can be made to Chabad of Kenosha 6520 – 67th Street, Kenosha, WI 53142.
