Marlene Mura, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Born in Kenosha, on May 15, 1935, she was the daughter of Esther and Victor Rossi. She was a graduate of Bradford High School. She continued her education and completed a Bachelor’s Degree from Carthage College.
Marlene lived a life full of love, laughter, and accomplishments, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she knew. She was a business woman and published a magazine, working until the age of 75. Throughout her career, she embodied the spirit of entrepreneurship, proving to be a trail blazer for many aspiring businesswomen including her daughters. Her passion and dedication inspired those around her, leaving a legacy of hard work and tenacity. In her younger years she volunteered at St. Catherine’s Hospital, United Way and the Kenosha Symphony. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
On June 28, 1962, Marlene was united in marriage to Richard Mura. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage and raised a family of three children. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mura on August 10, 2020; her grandson, Yeats E. Brannick (2015), and brother, Richard Rossi (2020).
She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Michelle Brannick, Renee Mura, Attorney (Thomas Hamm), and John Mura, Engineer (Sabrina Fanapour). She loved her grandchildren deeply: Brendan Brannick, Thomas Hamm, Katherine Hamm, Anna Hamm, Jacob Mura and Mia Mura.
Marlene was robust until the end. In this time of remembrance, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit and cherish the memories we hold dear. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.

SERVICE LOCATION Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church
A visitation for Marlene will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha and on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street, Kenosha.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass.
Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery and Mausoleum.
