It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Hall Stevens, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 30, 1933, to the late Verl and Itha (Hall) Stevens. He was a graduate of Waukegan High School. Robert was a beloved figure in his community of Beach Park, Illinois. His honesty, hard work, and sense of fairness defined his character and were values he instilled in his family.
In November 1956 he was united in marriage to Dolores Valdez. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2016.
Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to his honorable discharge in 1956. After his time in service, he embraced life as a family man, raising three wonderful children, Sandra Stevens, Karen Dillow and Darin Stevens. As a grandfather, he found joy in his grandchildren, Derek Bellevage, Lindsay McCreary, Craig Bellevage, Ryan Dillow, Heather Lopez, Katie Johnson and Danny Stevens, along with 11 great-grandchildren.
Robert was also known for his love of animals, especially his Boston Terrier, who brought companionship and joy to his life. His warm presence and kind heart will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue through his family and friends who carry his values forward.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Verl and Itha Stevens and his beloved, wife, Dolores Stevens, and his son Ronald Stevens.
Memorial services for Robert will be held privately.
