Dolores June Meyer, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Grande Prairie Health & Rehab.
She was born on June 19, 1930 to the late Merrill and Gertrude (Lambrecht) Squires in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On April 2, 1949 she married Hans Meyer at Kenosha Christian Reformed Church. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Dolores worked at Holleb’s and for Dr. Bachland for several years.
Dolores enjoyed sewing, traveling with her husband and was a Cubs and Packers fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by her daughter Sandra (Terry) Honey, her son Larry (Andie) Meyer both of Kenosha, her grandchildren Shari (Michael) Lentz, Nicole Honey, Chris (Andrea) Honey, Adam Honey, Brandon Meyer, Nathan (Karleen) Meyer and Lance (Kelly) Meyer and her great grandchildren Allison Lentz, Kyler Lentz, Ella Honey, Olivia Honey, Shelby Meyer and Sadie Meyer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a son Fred, a brother Frederick “Fred” Squires and a grandson Rick Meyer.
Funeral Services for Dolores will be held on Monday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church (2001 – 80th St.). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
