Richard A. Stibb, 73, a lifelong resident of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Zilber Family Hospice.
He was born on January 26, 1952, the son of the late Elmer and Edith (Ball) Stibb.
He attended Grant Elementary School, Washington Junior High School, Mary D. Bradford High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Gateway Technical Institute. He also completed many additional credits at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
During his younger years Rick worked for Valeo’s Pizza and continued his career as a CNC operator at Eaton Corporation for ten years. He also worked as a real estate broker.
On August 19, 1978, at St. George Catholic Church, he was married to Kristine M. Willems. They were blessed with three children, Christopher (Myco) Stibb, Stacy Stibb, and Garrett Stibb.
Rick had a lifelong passion for cars and enjoyed attending the many car shows in the area. His creative talents were exhibited in the little rhymes he would create about events in his family’s lives. His happiest moments were spent with his granddaughter Ciara. He cherished their trips to the beach and playground, their artistic chalk endeavors, and racing against her in his wheelchair. In his later years he also delighted in the companionship of family pets Ariel, Steele, Baxter and Toby.
Rick is survived by his wife, children, and beloved granddaughter Ciara Stibb. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Janet (John) Bonaretti and Ann Marcinkus, brothers-in-law, Patrick (Judy) Willems and Paul (Laurie) Willems and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Stibb, his in-laws Robert and Kathleen Willems, his brother-in-law Jeff Marcinkus and his nephew Christian Willems.
A memorial visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Parish, 2224 45th Street, Kenosha, WI, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m.
