Albert Richard Kovach, 90, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Hospice Alliance House in Pleasant Prairie, WI, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 26, 1934, in Detroit, MI; he was the son of William and Anna (Chizmadia) Kovach.
On July 25, 1959, he married Phyllis Antinucci at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2018.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 until he was honorably discharged in 1958.
Albert worked doing millwright maintenance for AMC Chrysler for 43 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers.
Survivors include his five children, Shelby (Keith) Riley of Kenosha, Brenda Lee Miller of Paddock Lake, Marge (Chris) Davis of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michelle Kovach of Kenosha and Theresa (Dougie) Newman of Kenosha; WI; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and his best companion, German Shepherd, Ranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; two brothers, William and Joseph Kovach; granddaughter, Sarah Beckius; great-granddaughter, Millianna Beckius; and his son-in-law, Ricky Miller.
Albert’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hospice House, Dr. Jennifer Takata, and Dr. Susan Cable for their compassionate care.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
