Aurelia Cesario passed on peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Born June 1, 1926, in Kenosha, WI to Eugene and Teresa (Stancato) Trecroci, she was 94 years old.
Aurelia graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1944. Just out of high school, Aurelia worked for Simmons Mattress Factory and did some waitressing at her brother Frank’s restaurant in Kenosha. She also worked for Kenosha Unified School District as a lunch lady. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Frank Cesario, and lived happily married for 50 years. Aurelia was a member of the Italian American Club, where she was honored as mother of the year. She was a lifelong member of the Holy Name Sodality and a devoted lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Aurelia loved spending time with family and friends and was always there when you needed her. One of her favorite ways to show her love was by cooking a good meal. Aurelia also loved hosting her Annual Neighborhood Picnic for over 50 years. She also enjoyed playing the game Scrabble any chance she had and was always the winner.
Aurelia was a loving wife and mother of three. If you were lucky and blessed to have known Aurelia, you realized that she was an exceptional woman and a true/lifelong friend. Aurelia was a mother to all she met and loved by all who met her.
Aurelia was proceeded in death by her husband Frank Cesario, her mother and father, Eugene and Teresa Trecroci; her mother and father-in-law Michael and Mary (Castoblie) Cesario; her sister Edith Parise; Brothers Frank (Mary) Cross, Ernie (Jemella) Trecroci, Edward (Madeline) Trecroci, Claud Trecroci, William (Viola) Cross, Richard (Iris) Cross.
Aurelia is survived by her three sons, Frank (Jackie) Cesario of Mankato, MN, Rick Cesario of Kenosha, Keith (Lisa) Cesario of Kenosha; Seven grandchildren, Jon (Julie) Cesario, Ashley (Joey) Karls, Phillip Thomas, Hanna Cesario, Jenna Cesario, Tony (Crystal) Cesario, Andrea Cesario; and four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Naveah, Elena, and Shania; sister-in-law, Phyllis Trecroci and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice Alliance Hospice House for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home with a Wake Service and Rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. Prayers will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, 2224 45th St., Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
