Beverly (Bev) Helen Sima, 82, of Kenosha passed away peacefully on March 21, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by family.
Beverly was born on November 25, 1938 in Vilas County, WI and was the daughter of the late Martin and Helen (Spurgeon) Strandberg. She was educated in the schools of Vilas County, WI. Beverly married Paul Sima on June 20th, 1960 in Kempster, WI and they later divorced. For many years Beverly was employed as a bookkeeper for Granger Motors and then at Montgomery Wards as an administrative assistant. Beverly loved spending time in the kitchen, reading the latest novels, doing crossword puzzles until the ink ran out and cheering for all of her Wisconsin sports teams. A favorite pastime of shopping always kept Beverly busy, but she always made sure to cool down with her drink of choice, an ice-cold Diet Coke.
Beverly enjoyed spending time with family and look forward to her daily chats with the ladies at St. Catherine’s Commons. Most of all, Beverly cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, sense of humor and undying love for them.
Survivors include her children, Terri Sima of Kenosha, Todd Sima of Butternut, WI, Trina (Brent Richter) Sima of Kenosha; grandchildren, Amber (Victor) Stoian, Haley Sima, Briana Sima, Kylie Richter; and great grandchildren, Dawson & Brecklin Stoian, Finley & Lincoln Gaedt, and Giovanni Capps Jr. & Arieana Ventura. Beverly was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony Giles, and her brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha for caring for Beverly in her final days.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
