Several local community partners, business owners, and concerned Kenoshans are collaborating on an initiative to let people know that Kenosha is much more than the recent headlines. Our community is hurting, and we acknowledge that much work needs to be done to address the issues that have led to the events of the past 18 months. All the partners involved are committed to working toward that change.
Let’s help change the narrative and let people know that Kenosha is resilient. Kenosha is family-friendly and excited to have you visit. Kenosha is open for business and ready to move forward toward a future where prosperity is achievable for everyone.
We are asking for photo submissions of community members holding our sign with a hand-written answer the question: “What do I wish people knew about my community?”. The photos will be compiled and included in a video montage that will be widely shared via social media. We encourage you to share this video as well using the hashtag #ThisIsMyKenosha.
If you would like to participate in getting this important message out, please follow the steps below:
- Print out (in color, if possible) our sign on an 8.5” x 11” piece of paper. Click the button below to download the PDF.
- Write a brief answer on the sign in large, bold writing the answer to the following question: “What do I wish people knew about my community?”.
- Have someone take a photo of you holding the sign. Consider taking the photo in a location that is descriptive of your business or lifestyle – in your flower shop, at a family gathering, at your place of work, on a run with friends, in the barber chair…where ever you feel would help to describe “your Kenosha”.
- Email your photo to bnoble@kaba.org.

Please submit your photos by Friday, December 3rd.
Please note: While we hope to include all submissions, we cannot make that guarantee.
