June Yvonne Johnson (nee Nelson) passed away on April 7th, 2025, at the age of 86.
June was born and raised in Kenosha, educated in Kenosha schools, and stayed her entire life. On November 29th, 1958, she was married to Richard G. Johnson, the love of her life. The two were blessed with two sons, Jeff and George. After their first son was born, June and Richard had their marriage blessed at St. Mark Catholic Church.
June worked for many years at Snap-On Tool and retired in the late 1990s after 25 years of faithful service.
In her spare time, June loved spending time with family, going on family vacations to St. Germain, tending to her garden, and cleaning the house. She especially loved time with her sister, Adele Binninger, who she lovingly called “my favorite person in the world.”
June is survived by her sons Jeff Johnson and George Johnson, and a grandson Joseph R. Johnson.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Adele, Bob, Jake, Carol, and Dorothy.
Services for June will be held on Monday, April 21st at St. Mark Catholic Church (7117 14th Ave). Visitation with the family will take place from 9 until 10am, and Mass will be held at 10.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Alliance, and especially Nurse Sarah, for her kind and compassionate care of June during her final days.
