JoAnn B. Fanning, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 while in Hospice at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha.
She was born on December 16, 1938 to the late Joseph C. and Anise C. (Bruns) Bucko in Kenosha, WI. She was educated in Kenosha schools. On July 17th, 1964 she married the late Gene E. Fanning and became stepmom to his five children. They were married for 45 years and when they retired, moved to Tucson, AZ.
JoAnn was an outstanding bowler often seen in the newspaper with top scores. She was an avid Cubs fan all her life, loved Elvis and was happy soaking up the Arizona sun.
JoAnn is survived by her children Deborah (Al) Herrem, David (Lisa) Fanning, Danial Fanning, Denise (Chuck) Roeder and Timothy Fanning, her 14 grandchildren, her 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She had many nieces and nephews and cousins that were dearly loved by her.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter Rachael Schmidt, a brother Jack Bucko, a sister Carol Erickson, and a nephew Scotty Bucko.
A Celebration of Life for JoAnn will be held on Friday, March 19 at 5:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
