Angeline M. Funk, 99 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at The Legacy at St. Joseph’s, Kenosha, WI.
She was born November 6, 1921, in Kenosha, WI the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Rose (Belotti) Poerio, graduated from Kenosha High School in January of 1940, and remained a lifelong resident. On September 16, 1945, she married Norman Funk in Muskogee, OK and he preceded her in death April 4, 1968. During World War II, she was employed at Nash Kelvinator and American Brass Co. She later worked for Chase Morgan Bank (formerly Brown National Bank) for 34 years before retiring as an executive secretary.
Angeline was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Kenosha, as well as the Italian American Club Auxiliary and the Senior Action Council. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include her nephew, Larry (Joanne) Janiak and niece, Rosann (the late Gary) Grzesiowski; and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Angeline was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Poerio, Sam Poerio, Ann Iaquinta and Mary Janiak; and nephews, Frank Iaquinta and Robert Janiak.
Graveside services will be private in St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
