Annamae Elizabeth Shaughnessy (nee Corke), 105 years old of Westchester, IL passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Willowbrook Assisted Living, Kenosha, WI.
She was born December 19, 1919, in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late William and Mary “Mae” (Immel) Corke. On February 27, 1943, she married Thomas C. Shaughnessy at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Chicago, IL, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Annamae had been a parishioner of Mary, Mother of Divine Grace Parish, Westchester, IL since 1959, and was a member of the Women of Providence Group. She enjoyed bowling, reading, and playing cards, especially Bridge and Canasta; she was also a talented crocheter and cook. Annamae cherished spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Thomas K. (Bill Peche) Shaughnessy, of Kenosha, WI; and several loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Annamae was preceded in death by siblings, Albert Corke, William Corke, Charles Corke, and Rosemary Corke-Callahan.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Mary, Mother of Divine Grace, Divine Providence Church, 2550 Mayfair Rd., Westchester, IL. Mass Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice, in her memory.
