Anne M. Witkauskis, 100, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Friday, January 10, 2025 at Kenosha Assisted Living.
She was born on May 25, 1924 to the late Jerome and Anna (Jucius) Kazragis in Chicago, IL. She was educated in the schools of Chicago and graduated from St. Casimir’s Academy in Chicago.
On October 21, 1944 she married Anthony J. Witkauskis in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Anne was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (formerly St. George). She was a member of the St. George Christian Mother’s, St. Catherine’s Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose Chapter 155.
Anne was active in volunteering at Woodstock Nursing Home and at St. Catherine’s Hospital.
Anne loved reading especially mysteries and cooking.
Anne is survived by her children //Anthony R. Witkauskis, Jerome M. (Carol) Witkauskis both of Manitowoc and Elizabeth “Betty” A. (John) Dumonceaux of Lincoln, NE, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Babs, Helen and Catherine, her brothers George, Robert and Walter and a daughter Catherine in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne will be held on Wednesday, January 15th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (714 – 49th St). Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
