Arthur R. Pacetti
1931 – 2024
Arthur R. Pacetti, 93, a resident of Kenosha, died Monday Aug. 26, 2024, at Azura Memory Care of Kenosha after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born on Feb. 20, 1931, in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of the late Luigi and Catherine (Capozzoli) Pacetti.
He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He attended Bain Elementary, McKinley Junior High School, and graduated from Kenosha High School in 1949.
On Aug. 5, 1967, he married Janet (Halvorsen) Pacetti at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2018.
He served in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1949 until the early 1950s.
He was a boxer in his younger days and won the 126-pound weight division of the Southeast Wisconsin Golden Gloves in 1954.
He worked at Simmons Manufacturing Company from the late 1940’s until 1959. He went to trade school for printing and worked at Burgess, Anderson and Tate, The Kenosha Labor Paper and the Kenosha News from the early 1960’s to 1978; he worked at MacWhyte Wire Rope from 1980 until his retirement in 1996. He and his wife also had businesses they owned at various times.
He was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, telling stories, and going out to eat at different restaurants. Before he moved to Azura Memory Care, he was a regular at the Coffee Pot, where you could find him at the counter enjoying a good meal, drinking coffee, and socializing with the staff and his friends.
He is survived by one son Daniel (Andrea) Pacetti of Eugene OR, two daughters Joan (Cory) Vanderwall of Kenosha, and Kara (Paul Zervopoulos) Pacetti of Sturtevant, and one granddaughter Tori (Jon) Loffredo of Sturtevant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two brothers-in-law.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and his two sisters Clarice Zaleski and Esther Helmenstine.
Private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St Croix Hospice would be appreciated.
