Aucencio M. “Chico” Llanas, 91 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI.
He was born December 18, 1929, in Lockhart, TX, the son of the late Bibiano and Paubla (Monreal) Llanas, He settled in Kenosha in 1949, and on October 19, 1958, he married Madelena Torres at St. Sebastian Church, Sturtevant, WI; she preceded him in death on March 6, 1988.
Chico worked for American Motor Corporation, Kenosha, WI for 35 years before his retirement in 1988. He was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and dart ball, and especially baseball and softball. Chico loved rooting for the Chicago Cubs, solving word search puzzles, working in his yard, and traveling to visit his family.
Survivors include his sons, Rudy (Pam) Llanas of Hamilton, AL and David (Annette) Llanas of Kenosha, WI; six siblings, Macario Llanas, Roman Llanas, Juan Llanas, Gabriel Llanas, Bibiano Llanas Jr., and Daria Hernandez; three grandchildren, Nicole Llanas, Rudy (Erika) Llanas Jr., and Samantha Llanas; five great-grandchildren, Peyton Nash, Jaxsyn Nash, Bryant Nash, Valentina Llanas, and Valerie Llanas; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Chico was preceded in death by siblings, Lutedo, Panteleon, Octavio, Martina, Francisca, Fernando, Frank, and Simon.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Medical Center, the Aurora Cancer Center, the Radiation Department, and Dr. Malik Bandealy for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home. Prayers will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the funeral home and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7117 14th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
