Bonnie Norris, 68 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL after an extended illness with her family at her side.
She was born July 3, 1955, in McHenry, IL the daughter of the late Andy and Ann (Galetka) McGinnis. Bonnie was raised on her family farm in Spring Grove, IL and remained there for many years, before settling in Kenosha in 1979. While working at Regal China, Antioch, IL, Bonnie met Robert Norris and they were united in marriage on March 15, 1980.
Growing up on a farm taught Bonnie a love of the outdoors, animals, and gardening. She was a talented cook and crafter; her favorite pastime was camping, where she enjoyed bonfires and hiking. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame Fighting Irish – if there was a game on, you could be sure she was watching. In 2017, Bonnie retired from St. Catherine’s Medical Center as a team lead of housekeeping after 15 years to spend time with the joys of her life, her grandkids.
