Brandy Jean Panek, 54, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Froedtert South – Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Crandon, on December 12, 1968, she was the daughter of Melvin and Dawn (Davis) Mattner. She was educated in the schools of Paris and graduated from Central High School. She went on to receive her associates degree.
In June of 1996, she married Timothy James Panek.
She was employed in various capacities over the years but recently stayed home caring for her grandchildren. In her youth she participated in 4H showing poultry and cattle, and she enjoyed music and going to concerts, crafting, and playing slots at Potawatomi. She and her husband were also both kennel owners and trainers at Dairyland Greyhound Park for 15 years.
Survivors include her husband: Tim Panek; two daughters: Courtney and Ashley Panek; four grandchildren: Brooklynn, Kayden, Rylan, and Cameron; and her parents: Mel and Dawn Mattner. She is also survived by many loving friends.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family would be appreciated.
