Brenda L. Whicher, 65, a resident of Kenosha, WI, passed away on February 25th with loved ones at her side at Froedtert South Hospital due to complications from COPD and emphysema. Brenda was born on January 30, 1959, to the late Patricia A. Whicher (Gordon) in Chicago, IL.
Brenda will be remembered for her independence, honesty and curiosity. She was known for helping other people and she volunteered for many organizations throughout her life.
In her last couple years, Brenda overcame extreme adversity and showed that she was an incredibly resilient, strong and determined woman. She was a giving person up until the end; Brenda donated tissue for others so that they might have a better life.
Family members want to thank Brenda’s good friend, Mary Nighbor, for being faithful to and patient with Brenda for many years and for being with Brenda up until the moment she took her final breath.
Brenda was a great older sister to her surviving siblings: Kurt Whicher, Elaine Bridge, Anita Whicher, Donna (Kenny Miller) Whicher and Lois Rice. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Eric Whicher.
Private services will be held.
