Charles Arthur Wheeler, 78 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at his home.
He was born August 11, 1945, in Elgin, IL the son of the late Charles Perry and Dorothy (Hermanson) Wheeler. Charles grew up in Waukegan, IL and in 1963, he went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. He began his career in 1980, driving truck for various companies before his retirement. Charles enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing; he also loved spending time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Survivors include his son, George (Lisa Ramig) Wheeler of Kenosha, WI; stepchildren, Jeff (Virginia) Vincent of Oconto Falls, WI and Kelly (Howard) Fredrickson of Stephenson, MI; his sister, Barbara (the late Robert) Wheeler-Cornett of St. James, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Mengo) Lawell Wheeler; stepson, Mike Vincent; siblings, John Wheeler and Sandy Wheeler; and his beloved aunts and uncles.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Kenosha, WI.
