Charles W. Schend Jr., 89, formerly of Kenosha late of Necedah, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
He was born on November 16, 1934 to the late Charles W. and Margaret (Koehn) Schend in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On July 2, 1957 he entered the us Army and was honorably discharged on July 1, 1963.
On June 19, 1954 Charles married Patricia O’Neil in Kenosha. She preceded him in death.
Charles was a truck driver for many years.
Charles was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #286 of Kenosha and Moose Lodge #1913 in Mauston where he was very active and was a Past Governor.
Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, camping, tinkering and working on his land. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his children Robin (Kevin) Carbon, Debbie (Jeff) Vaccaro, Terri Schend and Jeffrey Schend, his grandchildren RaeAnn, James, Cory, Joseph, Tyler and Mitchell, his great grandchildren Kaela and Abigail and his siblings Donald (Cora) Schend, Richard (Georgia) Schend and Fran Webb.
He is preceded in death by a sister Marily Christiansen, a brother Robert Schend and a daughter-in-law Mary Schend.
A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held on Friday, September 6th at 4:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home with Full Military Honors following. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
