Charlotte Pate, 80, of Kenosha passed away on Monday March 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born on December 30, 1940 in Edgerton, WI, the daughter of the late Edward & Hazel (Veitch) Schroeder. She was educated in the schools of Edgerton. Charlotte married Billy Pate on June 18, 1960 in Kenosha. She was a homemaker for many years. Her hobbies include reading, bird watching and spending time with her family & friends. Her favorite time of year was when her husband would go fishing. She is most known by her family and friends for her special tuna salad and her ability to keep order with her wooden spoon.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Pate of Kenosha; children, JoAnn (late Patrick) Engels of Kenosha, Mary (Scott) Lind of Zion, Linda Blaine of Burlington; Richard (Cass) Pate of Briggsville, WI; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Her favorite brother-in-law Chuckie (Barb) Pate,Sister-in-laws Shirley (Dillard) Free, Elaine Duhame, Roberta (Paul) Baumeister. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Adopted children Betty (Tim) Kunesh, Terri (Mike) Engels. Special friends Karen and Carl Haupt, Jerry and Kathy Anderson, Linda and Mike Hogan. Charlotte was preceded in death by her son, Ronald, brothers, JR, Bob, Gene, Dick, & Donny, sisters, Margaret, Lucille, Doris, Evelyn, & Beverly.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday March 22, 2021 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-6:00PM, with memorial services to follow at 6:00PM.
