Christine “Tina” T. Leonard, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on June 20, 1939 to the late Leon and Mary A. (Gryzik) Podgorny in Chicago, IL.
On September 24, 1957 Tina married Wayne V. Kipp in Chicago, IL. They later divorced. Then in 1971 she married Ralph F. Leonard in Las Vegas and Kenosha. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1992.
Tina owned and operated Ralph’s Restaurant then worked at the Phoenix Restaurant for 16 years.
Tina was a former member of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church.
Tina enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing cards, cooking, hosting family events and neighborhood parties. She also enjoyed going to the horse races, going to casinos and spending time with her happy hour friends at different establishments around Kenosha. But what gave Tina most enjoyment was helping other people.
Tina is survived by her son James (Rebecca) Kipp, her 11 grandchildren, her 31 great grandchildren, her brother Richard (Dottie) Podgorny and her sisters Leona M. Henson and Michelle C. Alekna.
She is preceded in death by her son John Kipp on January 21, 2023, a sister Bonnie Tombolato and her special friend/companion Elden Spencer.
Funeral Services for Tina will be held on Monday, August 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
