It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Christopher Michael Koderca, age 48, of Racine, WI. Chris entered the gates of Heaven on March 24th, 2025.
Chris was born on February 15th, 1977, to Colleen (Sorensen) Koderca and Daniel Koderca Sr. He was born and raised in the city of Kenosha and was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
Chris was a beloved son, father, brother, nephew and cousin who will be dearly missed by those he knew and loved. Chris was a good friend to many, an asset to his family, a great musician, a big jokester, but most of all he was ours to love!
Chris loved playing his music and was an accomplished guitarist with different bands. He loved his bass whether it was in his car, boat or on his motorcycle.
He bumped his tunes wherever he went. He was extremely talented at repairing cars, motorcycles and was an all-around handyman who could fix just about anything he could get his hands on. Chris enjoyed learning how things operated, and he took great pride in his work.
Chris was always willing to help those in need whenever the opportunity arose.
Spending time with his family was something he always looked forward to and loved doing. Above all things, Chris treasured every special moment he spent with his children, Trent and Elliott, whom he lovingly adored.
Chris leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, his loving mother Colleen Koderca, his father Daniel Koderca Sr., his best friend and brother Daniel Koderca Jr., his children who meant the world to him, Trent and Elliott, aunts: Kathy (Rene), Laurie, Maureen, Lisa, Kathy and Sandra, uncles: Tim, Sean, Rene, Patrick and Frank (Debra), cousins: Adam (Jackie), Ryan (Alison), Chad (Karina), Rachel, Bailey, Thorin, Ryan, Christine, Kimberly and Kevin.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna Sorensen who loved Chris beyond words, Louis Sorensen, Florence Koderca and Frank Koderca.
Rest peacefully until we meet again…
We love and miss you, “Topher”.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 1 to 4 P.M. at the Fireside Restaurant in Kenosha, WI (2801 30th Ave).
Speak of me as you have always done,
Remember the good times, laughter and fun.
Share the happy memories we’ve made,
Do not let them wither or fade.
I’ll be with you in the summer’s sun,
And when the winter’s chill has come.
I’ll be the voice that whispers in the breeze,
I’m peaceful now, put your mind at ease.
I’ve rested my eyes and gone to sleep,
But memories we’ve shared, are yours to keep.
Sometimes our final days, may be a test,
But remember me, when I was at my best.
Although things may not be the same,
Don’t be afraid to use my name.
Let your sorrow last for just a while,
Comfort each other and try to smile.
