Chung Nguyen, a widow of Ninh Doan, passed away peacefully at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, surrounded by her loving family at 6 a.m. on April 15, 2024. She was 89 years old.
Born in Vietnam, where she met and married her husband, Ninh Doan. After her husband’s death in 1988, she came to the United States and lived with her children and grandchildren and became US citizen in 2000.
She dedicated her life to raising a beautiful and healthy family which transpired to 9 children, 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren by cooking, cleaning, babysitting, and attending every major event and milestone for each of them. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, attending church services, and making eggrolls at the Mt. Carmel Parish’s festivals.
Chung is survived by her 8 children: Dung Doan and her husband, Chu; Thuy Doan and her husband, Hoang; Thanh Doan and his wife, Trang; Jimmy Doan and his wife, Anhdao (Ann); Nghiem Doan and his wife, Thao; Tin Doan and his wife, Julie; Dieu Doan and his wife, Dieu; Nhu Doan and her husband, Minh. Her pride and joy were her wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Chung Nguyen, who is currently living in San Jose, California.
A visitation to celebrate her beautiful life will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately in Vietnam.
