Darlene May Commodore, 89, passed away on November 27th, 2023 and joins her husband Norman, her son Dale and her daughter Linda in eternal rest.
Darlene was born in Racine on March 5, 1934 to the late George & Nora (nee: Miller) Osborne.
Darlene is also preceded in death by brothers Robert and Jerry Osborne, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Neil and Dorothy Anderson.
Darlene was united in marriage to Norman Lee Commodore on June 8, 1950. Darlene was a housekeeper for most of her career, which included owning a cleaning service before retiring. Darlene and Norman were avid bowlers, enjoyed the outdoor life and were true Green Bay Packer fans.
There will be a hole in the heart of her granddaughter Shelly and grandson-in-law Mike who were able to spend the most precious last two years with Darlene before her passing.
Darlene is survived by her brother Donald (Pat) Osborne and loving sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Ski Ciskowski of Wisconsin Dells where she spent many long weekends.
Darlene will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, especially her nephew Terry Green and his wife Pat, Darlene’s “Best Bud”.
There will be an empty seat at the table during the monthly “Cousins Breakfast” as Darlene will be greatly missed especially by cousins Mark and Pam Mano.
Darlene is survived by 5 grandchildren: Michelle (Michael) Dlugi, Angie Leal, Tony (Trish) Commodore, Rachel Commodore, and Dominick (Ashton) Commodore. Darlene had 20 great grandchildren: Kristin (Ryan), Kaitlin (Donnie), Nicole (Fabi), Courtney (Matt), Zachary, Dylan, Tony, Tera, Tate, Teagan, Anthony, Felix Jr., Angelina, Laila, Angelica, Isabella, Leonardo, Dominick, Elissa, Giovanni, her great-great granddaughter Ava who called her “Grandma DiDi” and her very special comfort dog Loki.
Darlene’s wishes were to be cremated so that her and her beloved husband Norman Lee Commodore who passed away September 16, 2003 can be together for eternal life in a columbarium niche at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 5, 2024, on what would have been Darlene’s 90th birthday, for family and friends at Roma Lodge. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
