David J. Klopstein, age 74 of Kenosha passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15th, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center. David was born on March 1st, 1947 in Kenosha WI to Edmund and Ethel (Mellor) Klopstein, He graduated from Tremper High School in 1965. David received his bachelor’s degree from UWM and his masters degree from National Louis University. In 1982 he married the love of his life Roberta Giordano, and they started their journey of love and life. David worked for many years at Kenosha Unified as a teacher at both Bradford High School and McKinley Middle School until his retirement in 2005. He was a great art teacher bringing out the creativity in his students. He was a talented potter and stain glass artist. David enjoyed playing golf and coached the Bradford Golf Team. David and Roberta loved to travel to Mexico and Caribbean, but their favorite times were spent at Sunset Lake in Eagle River Wisconsin. David found his true passion in life when sailing, which he did every time he could get out on the water. He will always be know foe his silly sense of humor and giving nature.
David is survived by his wife Roberta; brother-in-law’s John Giordano and Paul Drake; his cousin Charlotte (Joe) Laba. His best friends Ken (Jo) Duller; sailing buddies, Carl Wember and Dale Stock, along with many friends and acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his Aunt and Uncle, Elsie and Gibson Dagen.

A celebration of David’s life is planned for Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at The Kenosha Yacht Club (5130 4th Avenue) from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the ASPCA, or to the family.
