Domenica Piro, 89 years old of Kenosha, Wi passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1935, in Roccabernarda, Province of Crotone, Italy, the daughter of Raffaele and Rosa (Vaccaro) Rosa.
On December 29, 1957, she married Ippolito Piro at Santa Maria Assunta Church in Italy. Domenica came to the US in 1967 to join her husband in America.
Domenica was a stay-at-home mom and will always be remembered for enjoying her time in the garden and canning all her vegetables. She enjoyed being in the kitchen, feeding her family and crocheting.
Survivors include her children, Francesco (Susan) Piro, Anastasia (Dan) Fansler, Rosa (Antonio) Montemurro, Raffaele and Angelo Piro; sisters, Rosa and Maria. Domenica was very blessed to enjoy her six grandchildren, Lori (Sean) Stanford, Michael (Jackie) Piro, Luisa Montemurro, Antonio (Kristen) Montemurro, Danny (Amanda) Fansler and Domenica (Adam) Hackbarth; her ten great grandchildren, Emilee, Bryson and Addyson Stanford, Olivia and Mason Piro, T.J., Dale, Francesco and Rocco Montemurro and Isabelle Hackbarth.
Domenica was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ippolito, and her siblings, Anarosa Grimaldi and Giovanni Rosa.
Domenica’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Leonardo Montemurro and Dr. Malik Bandealy and all the caregivers at Hospice Alliance.

A visitation for Domenica will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
Entombment will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the family would be appreciated.
