Donald “Don” Robert Rae, 71 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1952, in Pennsylvania, the son of the late Donald E. and Betty E. (Holliday) Rae. Don and Dorothy met when they were only 14 and 16 years old in Ambler Pennsylvania. They were married in Racine on August 19th, 1972 and have resided in Wisconsin since then. Shortly after their son, Donny Jr was born, they moved to Kenosha.
Don worked for InSinkErator for thirty years. During that time he spent many years coaching his son’s youth baseball and football teams. Don was also a kid at heart working on home computers in the 80’s as well as gaming on all the latest systems throughout his life. Don and Dorothy enjoyed working in their backyard together, having a vegetable garden and beautiful flowers every summer. In retirement, Don found many hobbies to keep him busy, golfing, building slot car tracks & train sets and always rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather of three beautiful granddaughters and has always shown unconditional love and support for his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Dorothy; son, Donny Jr (Jennifer) Rae; and grandchildren, Faith (Osha), Ashley, and Sarah; and sister, Linda (Jan) Blum.
