Edwin M Herreid Sr. age 85 of Trevor, WI died February 13, 2024. He was born on the family farm in Crawford County, Wisconsin on January 25, 1939. The son of the late Ove and Mattie (Wellington) Herreid. On April 8, 1961, in Kaukauna, WI he was united in marriage to Osa Lancour who preceded him in death on December 28, 2016. He worked for many years at Chrysler in Kenosha, WI.
During his life Ed was a charter member of the Salem Rescue Squad which was formed in 1971. He loved to display antique farm equipment at the Kenosha County Fair. He was a member of the Southeast Wisconsin Antique Power and Collectible Society. He enjoyed going hunting at the family farm still to this day in Crawford County. He also enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and flowers. Ed loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always there to support them in events they participated in.
Survived by his four children: Edwin (Lisa) Herreid, John (Theresa) Herreid, William (Dana Hangbrauck) Herreid and Randy (Kristen) Herreid. Grandfather of 10, Great Grandfather of 5. Brother to Olivia Kenefick and Milford Herreid. Further survived by sister-in-law Clarice Herreid, Mary Ann Lancour, Lee Lancour and Mary Ann Nordstrom and brother in law Vince Ferrari. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom Herreid, Sister Ann (Blain) Breidenstein, Brother in Laws: Tom Lancour, Bob Kenefick, Gene Lancour, Dick Lancour, Ron Lancour, Eugene Haessly. Sister in Laws: Verona Haessly, Joan Herreid, Rita Gosse, Della Anholzer and Alice Ferrari.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 24, 2024, at 2:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.
