Efraim Santiago, 76, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday August 22, 2024 at Froedtert South – St. Catherine’s.
Efraim was born on December 22, 1947 in Lares, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Margaro & Angelita Santiago. Efraim was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Efraim married Teresita Soto Ramos on July 13, 2020 in Kenosha.
Efraim was employed at AMC/Chrysler for many years, also working and retiring from UPS as a supervisor.
Efraim’s hobbies included cheering for Packers, Brewers, Bucks and family at their sporting events, watching wrestling & boxing, attending car shows, umpiring local baseball and softball, but most of all spending time with his family every single day.
Efraim was the life of the party with his warm and fun personality – always quick with a one-liner, song and laughter! He always smiled and made everyone feel special. Efraim would bless his loved ones in any way that would help or uplift them. “Love you!” and “God bless you!” were always on his lips. Efraim was very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and loved its flag and culture of homemade food, music, & dancing. He was a man of faith and trusted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all circumstances.
Survivors include his wife, Teresita Soto Ramos of Kenosha; daughter, Gloria (Steven) Cairo of Kenosha and son, Scott Santiago of TX; stepsons, Luis (Jessica) Del Valle of FL, Joel (Sakhone) Del Valle of TX, and Javier (Elia) Del Valle of Kenosha; mother, Angelita Santiago of Kenosha; brothers, Raymond (Rachel) Santiago, Steven (Raquel) Santiago both of Kenosha; sisters, Gloria (Antonio) Caban of FL, Gladys Salus of Pleasant Prairie, Sarah Santiago of FL; Reina (Dave) Rivera of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Alba Larsen of Kenosha, Margarita (Alejo) Soto of Puerto Rico, Darlene (Juan) Soto of FL, Michelle (Ramon) Ynosencio of Kenosha. 6 grandchildren, Taylor (Carlos) Marin, Tessa and Mayleen Santiago, Geneva, Gianni, & Evalie Cairo; and 2 great grandchildren, Luciano & Leylani Marin. Efraim was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He held a special place in his heart for the families of Nicolas Santiago, Debbie Stubbe, Hillary Hinds, and ex-wife, Jean Sulli.
Efraim was preceded in death by his father, Margaro, birth mother, Carmela, infant daughter, Christine, brothers, Monserrate, and wife, Peggy Santiago, Miguel, and wife, Elizabeth Santiago, and Edwin Santiago, sister, Evalina, and husband, Birl DeLoach.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2024 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4:00PM-6:00PM, with funeral services to follow at 6:00PM.
