Elizabeth Rose Watkins, 83, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center with her loving husband by her side.
Born on November 5, 1937, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Don and Helen Christianson.
On May 17, 1958, she married William “Willie” Dean Watkins at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church in Wadsworth, IL. They moved to Kenosha in 1975.
Elizabeth was employed by Sanmina Corporation until her retirement.
In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball, bowling, going on motorcycle rides and attending Hamfests with Willie. Elizabeth was a huge Brewers and Packers fan and always looked forward to watching the games. Another favorite pastime for Elizabeth was winning it big at Ho Chunk Casino. She cherished time spent with her family and friends at picnics and birthday parties. Elizabeth looked forward to visiting relatives during the many road trips with Willie in their RV and always spoke about their next big adventure together.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Watkins of Kenosha, WI; four children, Randy Watkins, Scott (Kathryn) Watkins, Jamie (Rose) Watkins all of Kenosha, WI, and Kelly Watkins of Portland, OR; ten grandchildren, Brandon, David, Emily, Anthony, Eric, Elizabeth, Matthew, Samantha, Kayla, and Liam; two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Harper; and one brother, Jim (Peggy) Christianson of Anchorage, AK. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home at a later date. Details will be forthcoming.
