Emelio C. Rodriguez of Kenosha passed away at the age of 70 on November 18, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 10, 1954, in San Antonio, TX to proud parents, Willie and Juanita Rodriguez.
Emelio met and married the love of his life, Dominga Cruz 48 years ago in their hometown of San Antonio, TX and together they had five children. They moved to Wisconsin in 1982 where Emelio worked as a maintenance worker at Carthage College; he would eventually retire from there. He was known for his strong will and unwavering determination, love and support of his family.
He was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He loved to yell “Ginobli” whenever his favorite San Antonio Spurs player Manu Ginobli hit a good shot. Emelio loved to attend church, spend time with his grandkids and do crossword puzzles. He also loved watching his favorite shows, The Waltons and Hunter.
He will be deeply missed by this loving wife, Dominga (Cruz) Rodriguez, his sons; Jesse (Diana) Cruz, Johnny Rodriguez, Emelio (Victoria) Rodriguez Jr., Estevan (Jenna) Rodriguez, and Jeremiah (Madison) Rodriguez; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters; Guadalupe, Virginia and Carmen all from Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Rodriguez.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Racine Family Worship Center, 1846 Mead Street, Racine, WI. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 26th at 10 a.m. with visitation until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Racine Family Worship Center. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Cemetery, 4300 Green Bay Road, Kenosha, WI, 53144.
The family would like to invite those who loved and cared for Emelio to join them for a luncheon following interment at Racine Family Worship Center at 3:30 p.m.
