Gail Florence Cheney, age 83, of Bristol, passed away on December 4th, 2022, at Kenosha Place. She was born on May 12th, 1939, in Rhinelander, to the late Milford and Gladys (Moore) Flannery. She graduated from Three Lakes High School and married Bernard R. Cheney in 1959 and later divorced. In 1957 she moved to the Kenosha area and worked at Lakeway Supermarket as a meat wrapper for 12 years, and at the Brat Stop as the cheese market manager for 15 years. She retired in 2003. She enjoyed bowling, watching the packers, bird watching, and her dog Snickers.
She is survived by her sons: Bernard C. (Cindy) Cheney, and Barry Cheney, grandchildren: Melinda (Matt) Munro, Nicole (Adam) Jurgens, Erica Cheney, and Sarah (Jose) Ocampo, great-grandchildren: Leo, Ella, Roman, and Nina, brother: Mitch (Mary) Flannery, sister: Mary (Paul) Linderud, sister-in-law: Sherry, and daughter in law: Marsha Cheney. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Doug Flannery, sister: Judy Thomas, brother-in-law: Paul Thomas, and a daughter in law: Bonnie Cheney.
The family would like to especially thank nurses Jennifer and Patty with Hospice Asera-Care for all their support and care during this time.
A visitation for Gail will be held at The Parkway Chateau (12304 75th St., Kenosha) in the Garden Room on Friday, December 9th from 4 – 7.
