Gary Vincent Shuler, age 71 passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 due to complications following a surgery. Born on March 13, 1953, in Clintonville, WI to Vincent and Marilyn (Sholtz) Shuler. On December 28, 1974, he married Linda (Paskiewicz) at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Kenosha. Gary retired from IBM as a System Analyst and was also an instructor at Gateway Technical College for many years. He was a member of Journey Church and enjoyed ushering, participating in his church group and volunteering at the food distribution center.
Even though Gary (Paah) was dressed up as Santa Claus every December, he was jolly all year round. You could always count on him to make you laugh or be up for some shenanigans. He had a smile and laugh that was infectious. When he wasn’t cracking jokes, he was probably adding to his piggy bank collection, playing cribbage, in his workshop, or planning vacations. He loved to travel with loved ones and show them all the great places he researched. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Badgers, Brewers and Packers. Gary was a creative soul with many passions and big ideas, but his biggest love was for his faith, family and friends.
Gary is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Erin (Jeff) Schabel, Melissa (Joseph) Andreoli, and Nicholas; granddaughters, Hannah (Ryan) Amann, Rylie, and Reese; many extended family members, and a few loving pups who knew him as “The Treat Guy.” He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susan in infancy and his brother, Thomas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and Ida Paskiewicz; brother-in-law, James (Susan) Paskiewicz; sister-in-law, Laurie (Ben) Fapso and sister-in-law, Amy Paskiewicz. While he will never be forgotten, he surely will be missed each day by all.
