Genevieve Mary Biba, 92, formerly of Houston, TX and Kenosha, WI died at Sage Meadows of Racine on February 8, 2024. She was born in Potosi, WI on September 17, 1931, to the late Henry and Mary (Stuer) Schaefer.
Genevieve married Vandy Biba on September 19, 1950; he preceded her in death on October 13, 1991.
Genevieve was especially proud of her family. She enjoyed baking and was especially good at making pies. She worked at Oriental Inn of Kenosha for 23 years.
While living in Houston, TX, she joined a bowling league at age 60 even though she had never bowled before. She enjoyed bowling and was good at it. Genevieve liked to attend concerts of her favorite country artists. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church of Kenosha and prayed the Rosary daily.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Donna) of Mt. Dora, FL, Joan (John) Curran of Cudahy, WI, Steven of Kenosha, WI, Ronald (Donna) of Houston, TX, Daniel (Samantha) of Paris, TX, Carol Biba of Omaha, NE; also included are her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elmer, Jerome, Homer and also her sisters, Margaret, Hildegard and Delores.
A visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Saturday February 17, 2024, from 9:00AM-10:00AM with funeral services to follow immediately at 10:00AM. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Alliance and the Shalom Center would be greatly appreciated.
