Gerald “Jerry” S. Packman, 82, of Kenosha passed away peacefully with his loving niece at his side, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on October 27, 1942 to the late Martin J. and Ann M. (Istvanek) Packman in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
On December 16, 1965 he entered the US Army and was honorable discharged on August 4, 1970. He served during Vietnam and received the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Jerry was a round dancer for many years and coached line dancing. He is in the Wisconsin Hall of Fame for being a caller for line dancing.
Jerry was very active at the Senior Center, attending many dances throughout the years.
Jerry loved dancing, spending time with his family especially his great niece Lexi and great nephew Brandon (Alyssa) and his great great nephews Emmett and Oliver were the light of his life. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy and was a Green Bay Packer fan.
Jerry is survived by his siblings Gary “Bobby” (Helen) Packman, Susan Bolton and Dianne (Jeffrey) Tryban and four nieces. A special thank you to his loving niece Nikki who took care of Jerry for the past several years.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services with Full Military Honors for Jerry will be held on Monday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private Burial will be held at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
