Grace Edna Blumenstein Droskiewicz, age 100, formerly of Twin Lakes, WI died November 28, 2023 at Sage Meadows Assisted Living in Lake Geneva, WI. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born on July 8, 1923 in Oconomowoc, WI to Waldemar Blumenstein and Leola Grace Wickard. She moved to a farm in rural Rusk County, WI at the age of 7. She attended Lone Birch, a one-room schoolhouse and graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1940. She then went to Chicago, IL to become a governess for two children but later worked in a defense plant where she met her husband, William C. Droskiewicz. They were married on February 26, 1944. They resided in Wauconda, IL for many years, where they were members of Transfiguration Church and enjoyed square dancing and socializing with their LVVA neighbors. She also lived in Center Lake, WI, Powers Lake, WI and Twin Lakes, WI. She was a member of St. Johns Church in Twin Lakes, WI and enjoyed serving on church committees, bowling, quilting, baking, gardening and sewing. Grace was an accomplished quilter and made many beautiful quilts for her friends and family. She worked at Baxter International and after retirement, at Ben Franklin in Twin Lakes, WI. She was a thoughtful and loving grandmother of 15 and was beloved by her many great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Karen (Donald Marsh), Brenda, Gail (Jim Wallace), Hope (David Dreyer), David (Lynn) and Craig (Kris), devoted niece; Sandra Hampton and dear friend; Barb Durkin. Further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings; Douglas, Robert and Crystal, son Karl, nephew; Brett Lytner and nephew-in-law; Frank Bonamo.
