Gregory Charles Clausen, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on February 12th, 2025. He will be missed by all.
Greg was born in Racine to loving parents Charles and Elizabeth Clausen. His family briefly relocated to Elgin IL where he went to grade school but ultimately ended up back in his hometown. After school, he enlisted in the Air Force. He proudly served his country for 4 years and, once discharged, enlisted in the US Army for another 3 years. During his time in the service, he was stationed in Hawaii, but always called Racine home, so he moved back once his second stint was complete.
Greg was a man with many interests. He loved to read, was a lifelong Packer fan, and above all else loved the Milwaukee Brewers. He was a proud season ticket holder for the last 10 years. During that time, he never missed a game, going to as many home games as possible to support the Crew.
Greg was also a huge Civil War buff, often vacationing to historic battlefields and places of interest to our Nation’s history.
In 2002, Greg met the love of his life, Sydney Waydick. The two were married on May 3rd, 2003, in Milwaukee.
Greg is survived by his loving wife Sydney, his children Grayson Clausen, Joshua Nordine, and Emily Waydick, all of Racine. He is further survived by a large extended family who Greg loved very much. He is even further survived by his four-legged canine friend, Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Christine Clausen, Father-In-Law Sidney Waydick and Mother-In-Law Grace Waydick.
Services for Greg will be held on Saturday, March 1st, at New Apostolic Church (11722 W. Florist Ave, Milwaukee Wi). A prayer service will be held at 2 o’clock. Visitation with the family will take place from noon until the time of service. To honor Greg’s passion for the Brewers and Packers, please wear Brewers and Packer colors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
