Hans Ceisel, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Froedtert in Milwaukee.
Born on September 7, 1948 in Tiefenstockheim, Germany, he was the son of Rudolf and Hedwig (Schreiner) Ceisel. Hans grew up attending schools in the Chicago area, graduated from Charles A. Prosser Academy, and relocated to the Kenosha area around 1984.
He was united in marriage to Cecylia (Rog) on April 21, 2001 at St. Therese Church in Kenosha.
Hans opened and ran a local hot dog shop called Weinie World in Kenosha and spent many years doing metal work/welding with F&B Manufacturing and AL3 in Racine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, fixing and rebuilding classic cars, and building things without directions. He loved spending time with his family and friends and cherished the last few years traveling the U.S. with his wife.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cecylia; his children, Anna (Steve) Gabavics, Monica Ceisel, Karl (Aneta) Ceisel, Silvia Hapke; his grandchildren, Rachel and Avery Gabavics, Morgan, Jake and Riley Staerkel, Jacqueline and Kasia Ceisel; his sister, Ingrid Hinkler.
Hans was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ericka Laplume.
Funeral services honoring Hans’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church 2020 91st Street. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for Mass.
Interment will take place at a later date in All Saints Cemetery.
A visitation for Hans will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
